On My Bookshelf: Where We Belong

Something amazing happened to me on Tuesday. I had forgotten that I preordered Emily Giffin's new release, Where We Belong and all of a sudden, I turned on my Kindle to watch a movie, and it was there! Sometimes, I miss reading an actual book. I just love the feel and the smell of cracking open a new one. But times like these, when books are delivered magically automatically, I really do fall in love with my Kindle all over again.

I simply love Emily Giffin. I have read Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Baby Proof, Love the One You're With, and Heart of the Matter at least three times each if not more. Needless to say, it is taking everything in my power to not read Where We Belong every chance I get. {I might have been reading it yesterday on the Kindle iPhone app while I was waiting for my Bodypump class to begin}.

Where We Belong is about Marian Caldwel, a thirty-six year old television producer, living her dream in New York City. With a fulfilling career and satisfying relationship, she has convinced everyone, including herself, that her life is just as she wants it to be. But one night, Marian answers a knock on the door only to find Kirby Rose, an eighteen-year-old girl with a key to a past that Marian thought she had sealed off forever. From the moment Kirby appears on her doorstep, Marian’s perfectly constructed world—and her very identity—will be shaken to its core, resurrecting ghosts and memories of a passionate young love affair that threaten everything that has come to define her {amazon.com}.

Pick up a hardcopy here or download the kindle version here. And if you haven't read Emily Giffin's other books, do that immediately as well.

  1. Everyone always recommends that I read her books, but I'll admit that I haven't gotten around to it yet! Next time I'm at the bookstore, I might pick a few up.
