Crushing on Thassia Naves

Can we just talk for a minute about how much I am loving Thassia Naves' style. Thassia Naves is a Brazilian blogger, and I must confess, I spent an embarrassing amount of time going page by page through her blog until I realized I could translate it into English {oops! thank you Google!}. The exploring then continued. What I love most about Thassia, besides the fact that she is wildly stylish, is the fact that she seems approachable and down to earth. And her layering is out of this world {fur on leopard? stop. it.}.

Above are six fall-themed outfits found on her blog that I am crushing on. Head on over to see more and be prepared to become obsessed. Oh, she has an instagram too - @thassianaves.

Wish List

Metallic Color Block Shopper | C. Wonder

A series I am thrilled to begin on this lil' blog of mine is a wish list. While I do like love to shop, I pat myself on the back on being very good about not splurging on material things too often. I do spend a decent amount of money on traveling, but you better believe I'm racing through the airport in a outfit from Nordstrom Rack or H&M. This leads me to my wish list of items that I would just love to call my own. Not all of the items on my wish list are out of my price range {looking at you, Joules Wellys} but for the ones that are - well a girl can dream, right?

Weekend Wardrobe

This morning something major happened: I went to Target and bought only what I needed. I made a beeline for the toothpaste isle and immediately got out of there. Okay, I might have added in a bag of candy corn at the last minute, but really, who can resist those?

Have a wonderful weekend!

"We construct these dramatic images of worst case scenarios.
We picture the embarrassment. The failure.
How it will feel when it doesn't work.
And the internalization of these fears paralyzes us from action.

What would happen if we went through these same mental exercises...
but instead saw and felt the success?"

Office On A Budget

2 // Clear Diamond Magnets // $7.95 // Paper-Source
4 // Chevron Notepad // 14.95 // Branch + Cotton

Lately, I've been looking around my office cubicle and have felt the urge to redecorate a bit. However, the holiday season is about to be upon us, so this girl isn't looking to spend a lot of money. Here are a few stylish and inexpensive office supplies that I have found {and loved!}

October Goop Birchbox Haul

This month Birchbox gave us the option of receive a goop Birchbox.
goop is a lifestyle website founded by Gwyneth Paltrow. The site features all sorts of wonderful ideas, tips, and tutorials for those who like to make, go, get, do, be, and see. I was hesitant to say yes because I do love receiving my regular ol' Birchbox but I decided to give it a go.

Here's what I found underneath the goop tissue paper:
 Essie - goop Pick
Joanna Vargas Skincare - Daily Serum
Marie Veronique Organics - Body Oil
Sprout - Lip Balm Flights
Luna - LemonZest

The glittered pumpkins are ones I made last year by following Martha Stewart's tutorial.
{Insider tip: use fake pumpkins from Michael's instead of real ones, that way you can use them to decorate your home year after year!}

Floor Plans

When I saw artist IƱaki Aliste Lizarralde's floor plan of Carrie Bradshaw's apartment, I immediately thought to myself, "Oh my goodness, so many memories in that apartment." ... Like I, myself used to live in that apartment.

Normal? I mean no, probably not.

But don't all us who love {and miss} Sex and the City look at this floor plan and start to remember all the SATC moments in this space? And don't even get me started on that closet.

And look, there's Friend's too!

These are way too fun.

Be Grateful.

I am currently working on a few very exciting projects that I cannot wait to share with you all. In the midst of the work, the stress, and yes, sometimes the tears, I remind myself to be grateful for opportunities that have come my way recently, to be present and soak everything in.

Lately, I have been practicing nightly gratitude lists, something I first read about on Laura's blog. Every night, before you go to sleep, you think {or say aloud} everything you are grateful for. Isn't that a wonderful idea?

So I ask you, what are you grateful for today?

Atlantic Pacific & Baublebar

Blair, the gorgeous gal behind the blog Atlantic Pacific, was one of the first bloggers I started following, long before I decided to make one of my own. Her style is incredible and her outfits are seriously to die for. She just teamed up with Baublebar to create a line of her own jewelry, and needless to say, I love. Here are three of my favorite necklaces from her collection:
one // two // three

Have you seen Blair's collection? What is on your list to buy?

There is something so chic about an outfit that centralizes around one color or print.
Here is one that would be perfect for a crisp fall day:
Rachel Zoe Royal Blue Crepe Belted Gemma Jumpsuit // Stylebop.com
Tory Burch Rylan Stud Earrings // Shopbop
Stuart Weitzman Victoria Pumps // Shopbop

This Rachel Zoe Jumpsuit paired with these Tory Burch Earrings and Stuart Weitzman Shoes - absolute perfection. Or in the words of Rachel Zoe, "major."

Six Things I Love About October

images 1/2/3/4/5/6

As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and pink is literally.. everywhere. But if you could do me a little favor, take a moment to think about the ones who develop Metastatic Breast Cancer, cancer that has spread beyond the lymph nodes. This ribbon above was developed by METAvivor, the support group that my mother and two other women founded in 2009 before she passed away. Green and teal were chosen to signify metastasis. Green represents the triumph of spring over winter and thus symbolizes renewal, hope and immortality. Teal symbolizes healing and spirituality. The pink ribbon placed on top identifies the origin of the metastasis as breast cancer. Breast cancer is so much more than the color pink.

I love October but it is one crazy month when it comes to birthdays. Yesterday was my sister's {happy belated birthday Jen!} followed by my friend Kelly's, then my cousin's, then my other cousin's, then my other friend's. So I'll just be in the birthday card isle in Target if anybody needs me. Most likely drinking pumpkin coffee because let's face it, I'm obsessed.

Matchbook Magazine's 50 Wardrobe Classics Checklist

Matchbook Magazine recently redesigned their website and it looks amazing! One of their features is a series of checklists which I just love. My life would not go on if it were not for checklists. Above is the 50 Wardrobe Classics. Call me crazy, but I immediately printed it out and checked off the things I have, and took a good look at the classics I do not yet have. So, is it too soon to make a Christmas list?

Black on Black

Someone once told me I wear too much black. Not possible. I love it and I personally think every single person looks good in the color. Head-to-toe black has to be one of my all-time favorite looks. It's so chic and oh so simple.

Here is how I would style a head-to-toe black look:

Start with something basic. I love this Black Stretch Peplum Tee from Dorothy Perkins {which is on sale!} paired with these Paneled Matte Wetlook Leggings from Topshop. To accessorize, I would wear these Kate Spade Gumdrop Stud Earrings from Piperlime {also seen here!}, these Ballet Flats from H&M, and carry this Suede Studded Shopper from ASOS.
