On My Bookshelf: Grace: A Memoir

From the moment I saw Grace Coddington in, "The September Issue," I was immediately intrigued. Here is a woman, who knows the ins and outs of the fashion industry, and who works for, and with, Anna Wintour every single day. After watching the documentary, I was left with the impression that she was real and, dare I say, down to earth, two things that can be very difficult to find

I became giddy with anticipation when I heard Grace was writing a memoir. When the book was released last November, I immediately threw my kindle aside and ordered myself the real, hardcover book (shocking!). In the days of kindles, nooks, and iPads, a splurge on a hardcover book does not happen everyday. But for this memoir, for the original photos and illustrations found inside, and for Grace, the little splurge was totally worth it.

  2. I just finished this book as well, I was said to see the last page come. It was a little too many names of models and photographers I've never heard of, but I loved the more personal stories and especially hearing about her time at American Vogue.
