Along with my 2013 goals of exercising more, eating more healthy & regular meals, and using more natural & organic beauty products, I have made a goal to do one thing each month that I have never done before. Big or small, anything goes. So lets talk about what I did for January!
In January, I went to see the National Symphony Orchestra at The Kennedy Center.
While this was not my first time visiting The Kennedy Center, it was my first time seeing the National Symphony Orchestra. The music was absolutely beautiful and the show was surprisingly entertaining. However, because there was not much action to watch on stage, I did find my mind wandering quite a bit. As my mind wandered through my to-do lists, I proceeded to study each musician's outfit (duh) and then proceeded to watch each musician more closely to see if I could catch someone messing up. I then tried to decide which instrument I would play if I were in an orchestra (my vote goes to the violin). I also found myself at one point thinking about the Mr. Bean skit at the London Olympics Opening Ceremony and accidentally laughed out loud (oops!). All in all, it was a fun evening and a great start to my 2013 challenge!
I have a few things planned for this little goal of mine but I do have many empty months. If anyone has any recommendations, I'm all ears!

ReplyDeleteoh yay, what a fun thing to do! whenever my mind wanders at concerts - which it always does! - I totally study the outfits and their movements. I'm still waiting for a violinist to mess up by bowing up while everyone else bows down :)
