I remember the night I started this blog last year and the whole time I was thinking, what am I doing? Where will this take me? What will people think? Who even understands blogging anyway? One year later, I can say with confidence, I have some, may I repeat, some of those questions answers. I still have so much more to learn.
Blogging is a big commitment. It is time consuming and can mean many days spent typing frantically and many late nights sitting in the dark staring at the bright laptop screen. But, I love it.
One thing that I have struggled with is finding a balance in how much personal information I share on this blog. I am a very private person by nature. So, having this public platform to share my world is very scary to someone like me. I started this blog as a creative outlet, however, the more I share my love for clothing, fashion and styling, the more I want to share little bits of myself and my life. This blog is not a place for me to complain or a place for me to talk about guys. It is a place however, where I have grown more comfortable with sharing more things with you. And I am still growing.
I started sharing my Mother's story with my Everygirl article in October, and I am getting more comfortable with sharing more about that side of me. It is a very big part of my life, but it is not everything. Finding the balance in what I share and when I share it is something that I still struggle with and something that I will continue to work on in my second year of blogging.
I have some very fun things planned for the future for this little blog of mine and I cannot wait to bring you all along on this journey. So here is to one year of blogging! I am giddy with excitement over what the future holds!
